"Complete Works 2020-2024" marks the culmination of BAIL H0P3 0M, the enigmatic side project of Greek sound artist Dimitris Tsironis / Δημήτρης Τσιρώνης, known for his work under the alias melophobia / μελωφοβία. This album brings together all 26 diverse sonic expressions and low harsh noise tracks previously released under this mysterious experimental project (albums, eps, singles, split releases and compilation tracks plus an unreleased one). It serves as a lengthy (more than 14 hours) and comprehensive anthology of five years' exploration into abstract soundscapes and unconventional auditory minimal/maximal experiences, weaving a complex untagged tapestry of emotions and atmospheres that defy all musical boundaries.

2001-2021

Tracks taken from musical excavations in the audio files of hard drive drawers. Experimental exercises in different editing programs in recent years and much earlier. These files were a kind of reminders and private notes for future works, often based on transcriptions by classical composers of past centuries. Re-edited, adding original short-length concept music and cover by Dimitris Tsironis, Summer 2022, in the mezzanine, SKG - Greece.

Μια χρονομετρημένη (εντός ορίων δηλαδή) α-συμφωνια τριών η-μερών. Ηχογραφήθηκαν αόριστες πηγές ασυνήθιστων ήχων. Επεξεργάστηκαν ελεύθερες στα κύματα κι επέστρεψαν στην αοριστία τους σύμφωνα με την αρχική χρονομέτρηση. Όλα σημαίνουν κάτι. Υπήρχε σχέδιο. Ακολουθήθηκε.

Με το προσφατο άλμπουμ νομίζω ότι λύγισα σαν από τρυφερότητα με ότι έκανα αυτά τα χρόνια επανάληψης του δημιουργικού μοτίβου. Οι συνεργασίες μου με άντρες και γυναίκες απ' όλο τον κόσμο, μερικές μεγαλύτερης διάρκειας από ένα πρώτο σύνολο κομματιών - λέγε με δίσκο - (Αργεντινή και Γερμανία), μία (από τις τρεις) με τη μακρινή Ιαπωνία - κράτησε περισσότερο από ένα χρόνο η ολοκλήρωση της - κι άλλη μία με πιθανό μακροπρόθεσμο προγραμματισμό - σχεδιασμό - και όνειρα (Αθήνα). Η διαρκής παρουσίαση σε μουσείο σύγχρονης τέχνης στην Κρακοβία και μερικά πολύωρα ηχητικά αφιερώματα σε Γερμανία και Πολωνία. Οι κυκλοφορίες σε χειροποίητα βινύλια, σε κασέτες, σε CDs και σε DIY CDRs σε όλο τον κόσμο καθώς και η επικοινωνία με εταιρείες και παραγωγούς παντού ήταν περισσότερες από αρκετές και ολοκληρώθηκαν με κόπο σε λιγοστά αριθμημένα αντίτυπα ή σε ψηφιακές εκδόσεις. Αμέτρητα δημιουργικά για εξώφυλλα, ώρες ηχογραφήσεων και πολλαπλάσιες ώρες παραγωγών και επεξεργασιών, συζητήσεις, αποστολές αρχείων, διαφορές στις ώρες και στις εποχές, κοινοί δρόμοι - κοινή δημιουργία, επιτέλους συνέργιες, πολλές συνέργιες παντού, πολλές κυκλοφορίες μέσω των προσωπικών ψηφιακών καναλιών ήχου και εικόνας, πάρα πολλές ραδιοφωνικές εκπομπές με αποκλειστικό υλικό και συνεχείς ψηφιακές κασέτες του σήμερα. Τώρα βάλε το σήμερα στο ράφι με την ετικέτα "χθες". Χρήση μουσικής και χρήση φωνής. Πολλά διαφορετικά ονόματα που όλα σημαίνουν κάτι, αρχαιολογικές έρευνες των προσωπικών κυκλοφοριών με το πραγματικό όνομα κι επανακυκλοφορίες αυτών, χρόνος με ήχους, με όνειρα, με χορούς και με αέρα στο απίθανο σήμερα - χωρίς ετικέτα τώρα. Γλυκιά εξάντληση και πέρας της κοινωνικής διαδρομής. Μέσα στα τρία χρόνια από την Ελληνική Αεροναυπηγική (βράδυ Χριστουγέννων στη σοφίτα - πολύ γέλιο) και ουσιαστικά λιγο νωριτερα (Σεπτέμβρης 2019) μέχρι το μπλε - μωβ και τις απαγγελίες των ποιητών Ελλάδας - Ιαπωνίας (Μάρτης 2022) κάλυψα ότι άφησε η παρένθεση από την - τότε - αποχώρηση (Σεπτέμβρης 2016). Το αρμονικό μοτίβο θα ολοκληρωθεί σε έξι μήνες με τις κυκλοφορίες που έχουν τόσο τυχαία προγραμματιστεί. Κι έτσι τα 3 χρόνια σιωπής τόσο όμορφα κι απολαυστικά κυκλώθηκαν από άλλα 3 χρόνια κεντημένα με θορυβώδη πλουραλισμό, πολύχρωμες αναζητήσεις και κατεγραμμένα ή μη ηχοτοπία. Απ' εκεί και πέρα ο ουρανός και το χώμα θα 'ναι η παλέτα για να περπατώ, να σκέφτομαι, να βλέπω και ν' αναπνέω. Χωρίς ν' αποζητώ εγώ συντροφιά έξω απ' το δάσος, χωρίς να επιλέγω να φτιάξω καλύβια γι' άλλους και χωρίς να χρειαστεί ν' αλλάξω στο ελάχιστο τη φορά και την κλίση. Μετά το πέρας της βαρετής μεσοαστικής ζωής (Vespertine-Outdoor Bourgeois), της κορύφωσης του Ολύμπιου Κόσμου στην κατάσταση T3 (M L PH B) και του ακραίου ήχου της παραμορφωμένης σιωπής (BAIL HOP3 OM) δεν υπάρχει παρά η συνειδητοποίηση του πολικού συνδρόμου Τ3 που είναι γνωστό ως το βλέμμα προς το Νότο (Ανταρκτική) - αλλά εγώ είμαι αρκετά μακριά τώρα. Δεν μπορώ ν' αποφύγω τα βήματα μου.

With the release of my recent album I think that I bent down as if out of tenderness to what I did all these years. Collaborations with men and women from all over the world, some very longer than a first set of tracks or an album (Argentina and Germany), one (out of a total of three or more) with faraway Japan - surprisingly took more than a year to complete - and another with lovely forward planning and hoping for more (Athens). The installation at a museum of contemporary art in Krakow and some hour-long audio / radio tributes in Germany and Poland. Releases on handmade vinyl - lathe cuts , cassettes, CDs and DIY CDRs around the world as well as communication with companies and producers everywhere were more than enough and were completed with difficulty in a few numbered copies or digital editions. Strange times filled with people inside their homes / countries / minds. Countless creative sleeve-covers and artwork, hours of recording and multiple hours of production and editing - mastering - remixing, discussions, uploads - transfers - downloads - differences in time-zones and seasons, common paths - co-creation, finally synergies, many releases through personal labels, netlabels and video channels, people and friends from everywhere, too many radio shows with exclusive material and continuous digital mixtapes of today. Use of music and use of voice. My voice. Many different names - aliases that all mean something, archaeological research of personal releases under my real name and their reissues, time with sounds and speaking, with dreams, with dances and with air in the improbable today. Field recordings and live manipulations. Sweet exhaustion and end of the social journey. Within the three years from the Greek Aeronautics bust most probably a little earlier (September 2019) until the blue-purple canvas and the recitations of the poets of Greece - Japan (March 2022) I covered what was accidentally left out of the parenthesis from the departure (September 2016). The harmonious and noisy pattern will be completed in six months with the planned releases. And these 3 years of silence so beautifully and enjoyable were surrounded by another 3 years embroidered with recorded, produced and released pluralism, quests and soundtracked dreams. From there, the sky and the earth will be the pallet for me to walk, to think, to see and to breathe. Without seeking companionship outside the forest, without choosing to build huts for others and without having to change in the slightest. After the end of the boring life in the middle lane(Vespertine-Outdoor Bourgeois), the climax of the Olympus Cosmos upon the T3 peak (ML PH B) and the extreme harshen sound of distorted silence (BAIL HOP3 OM) there is nothing but the awareness of the polar syndrome state T3 known as the Look South (Antarctica) - but I'm far away now. I cannot escape my steps.

θα συνεχίσω να πετώ μπουκάλια με τα μηνύματα μου μέσα, με τον καιρό αδιαφορώ αν το λένε κάποιοι μουσική, ξεχνώ να κοιτάξω πότε κυκλοφόρησα το προηγούμενο και δεν κρατώ τα προσχήματα, μου αρέσει να δημιουργώ, για μένα το κάνω, βάζω όλη την αγάπη μου και στο σημείωμα μέσα στο μπουκάλι έχω συνήθως αναλυτικές πληροφορίες, αν όχι το κάνω επίτηδες κι όχι από τεμπελιά, θέλω να ζοριστείς κι εσύ μαζί μου, να βασανίσουμε τ' αυτιά μας και τα μάτια μας, ν' αναρωτηθούμε επιτέλους αν αυτό το 'πράμα' ονομάζεται μουσική, αφού δεν έχει (συνήθως) σωστούς χτύπους, μελωδίες, στίχους, φωνές (όχι απ' εκείνες, απ' τις άλλες) και γενικά δεν... θα συνεχίσω

A Hundred Years of Immigration and Sound Exchanges

Εκατό χρόνια κίνησης πολιτισμών και ηχητικών τοπίων. Μία ηχητική αποτύπωση της μεταναστευτικής πορείας από το 1922 στο 2022 του Δημήτρη Τσιρώνη.

Το 1922 σημάδεψε την Ελλάδα με την μαζική μετακίνηση πληθυσμών από τη Μικρά Ασία. Άνθρωποι με ελάχιστα υπάρχοντα ξεπέρασαν θαλάσσιους και χερσαίους περιορισμούς κι εγκαταστάθηκαν στη νέα τους πατρίδα. Μαζί τους ήρθε στη Βόρεια Ελλάδα και στη Θεσσαλονίκη ένας νέος αέρας ιδεών και απότομη αύξηση αστικού πληθυσμού.

Εκατό χρόνια μετά, η χώρα συνεχίζει να αντιμετωπίζει την ίδια κατάσταση, αυτή τη φορά με την αναγκαστική μετακίνηση πληθυσμών από χώρες που δεν είχαν κάποια ιστορική σύνδεση με την Ελλάδα. Η ανάμειξη των πολιτισμών, τα νέα ήθη και έθιμα μαζί με την συνεχή ενημέρωση αλλά και τις δύσκολες οικονομικές συνθήκες επαναλαμβάνουν τα συναισθήματα υποδοχής όπως και πριν από έναν αιώνα.

Το ηχητικό έργο ''Centurion Disharmonies'' (Εκατό χρόνια Δισαρμονιών) είναι δομημένο πάνω στις πορείες των μεταναστών μέσα από τα κράτη που διέσχισαν και τις υποχρεωτικές στάσεις μέχρι τον (τελικό) προορισμό. Ξεκινάει με τις χαρούμενες και διασκεδαστικές αρμονίες λαϊκών τραγουδιών της εποχής που καταγράφηκαν στις πρώτες μορφές δίσκων γραμμοφώνου στη Σμύρνη και στην Κωνσταντινούπολη από Ελληνικής και Τουρκικής καταγωγής μουσικούς και χτίζεται πάνω στον πόνο του ξεριζωμού. Η μετακίνηση των ανθρώπων από τους τόπους καταγωγής τους μέσω θάλασσας και ορεινών όγκων το 1922, επαναλαμβάνεται στο 2022 με τη προσθήκη σιδηροδρόμων και οχημάτων μαζικής και συνήθως πολυέξοδης εκμετάλλευσης του μεταναστευτικού κύματος. Πολλοί ξεκίνησαν, πολλοί δεν ολοκλήρωσαν το ταξίδι. Ο θάνατος είναι μέρος αυτού του ταξιδιού. Η συνειδητοποίηση και η οργή εμφανίζεται στη μέση, χωρίς οι ίδιοι πρωταγωνιστές να γνωρίζουν εκ των προτέρων για τη διάρκεια αυτής της λυπηρής εμπειρίας ζωής. Η μετακίνηση συνεχίζεται μέχρι την εγκατάσταση και την ανάμειξη των πολιτισμών. Η ιστορία δεν τελειώνει ποτέ, μόνο επαναλαμβάνεται.

Η εξέλιξη και η δομή του έργου ακολουθεί τους δέκα πρώτους αριθμούς Φιμπονάτσι (Fibonacci numbers) μετά το μηδέν. Όπως εξ ορισμού, κάθε επόμενος αριθμός είναι το άθροισμα των δύο προηγούμενων αριθμών, έτσι και η σύνθεση ανατροφοδοτείται από τα προηγούμενα μέρη. Μία πιστή αποτύπωση της ζωής και της επανάληψης των ανθρώπινων ιστοριών.

Creating sounds away from cables, how difficult. The raw materials for all these tracks came from field recordings throughout the year. They were points that betrayed a uniformity. Probably from the urban landscape where the recordings took place. Little by little they formed into original audio stories. Behind them hide people's indifference to everyday life. For all that we pass and has its calendar value. Every piece I make these twenty years is from a torn page in my diary. I was always indifferent to the advice of any type and that is what I tried to express with these ten songs without words.

 

Να δημιουργείς ήχους μακριά από καλώδια, πόσο δύσκολο. Οι πρώτες ύλες για όλα αυτά τα κομμάτια προήλθαν από ηχογραφήσεις περιβάλλοντος μέσα στο έτος. Αποτελούσαν σημεία που πρόδιδαν μία ομοιομορφία. Ίσως προερχόμενη από το αστικό τοπίο που έλαβαν χώρα οι ηχογραφήσεις. Λίγο λίγο διαμορφώθηκαν σε αυτούσιες ηχητικές ιστορίες. Πίσω τους κρύβουν την αδιαφορία των ανθρώπων για το καθημερινό. Για όλο αυτό που προσπερνάμε κι έχει την ημερολογιακή του αξία. Κάθε κομμάτι που φτιάχνω αυτά τα είκοσι χρόνια είναι από μια σκισμένη σελίδα του ημερολογίου μου. Πάντοτε αδιαφορούσα για τις συμβουλές οποιοδήποτε τύπου κι αυτό προσπάθησα να εκφράσω με αυτά τα δέκα τραγούδια δίχως λόγια.

Maybe it was from a walk to a record store on the downhill sidewalk with the stairs from the top of the floor. The others had sat down to taste French cuisine and I found the store below. Maybe it was when I read about James Bond listening to George Feyer's album "Echoes of Paris". However, the idea and the original excerpts remained for a long time in the drawers of my mind and in the scattered pieces of decades-old hard disks. Suppose the dream (or nightmare) was something like this.

τόσοι πολλοί ποιητές και τόσοι λίγοι αναγνώστες...

γιορτάζεις κάθε φορά που θυμάσαι, αγαθές πράξεις πάνω σε απλά προσωπικά σχέδια και σπασμένα προγράμματα, δίχως συνειδητή επίδειξη, με τυχαίες και στιγμιαίες επιλογές, γιατί θέλεις να φυτρώσει κάτι από μέσα σου, να μείνει στη σημερινή καταγραφή ημερολογίου και σαν ξεριζωθεί ν' αφήσει χώμα λεύτερο...
